Since its launch in 2010, TRANSITION GROUP (T-Group) has served as a vibrant and stimulating platform to celebrate and explore science in every way possible. The aims to inspire and nurture interest and appreciation of science in young minds and student’s are at large. In keeping with our ambition to make science accessible to all, the entry at our Science Hub opens to everyone.
Science Hub of T-Group under the Vigyan Prasar (VIPNET), an autonomous organisation under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, is launching “Science Club” to provide a platform for our youth to engage in innovative and creative activities.

Making modern Science & Technology hands on practical based for the students through eco-friendly and economically viable process for New Education Policy (NEP-2020).
Transition Group members are able
To portray the growth of science and technology and their applications in industry and human welfare with a view to developing scientific attitude and temper and to create, inculcate and sustain a general S & T awareness amongst the young mind. |
To collect, restore and preserve important historical objects, which represent landmarks in the development of science, technology and industry. |
To design, develop and fabricate science exhibits, demonstration of equipment and scientific teaching aids for science education and popularization of science amongst the beginners of science. |
To popularize science and technology in cities, urban and rural areas for the benefit of students and for the common people by organizing exhibitions, seminars, popular lectures, science camps and various entrepreneurship related programs. |
To supplement science education given in schools and colleges and to organize various out-of-school educational activities to foster a spirit of scientific inquiry and creativity among the students. |
To organize training programs for science teachers/students/young entrepreneurs/technicians/ physically challenged/housewives and others on specific subjects of science, technology and industry. |
To render assistance to universities, technical institutions, museums, schools and colleges or other bodies in planning and organizing science museums and also in training of personnel for scientific laboratory profession. |
The world’s conventional resources are shrinking with every passing day. As a result, nations for and societies across the globe are in a serve competition for finding new ways and means to support and sustain growth and development. In this competitive environment, innovation is seen as the engine for inclusive prosperity and sustainable growth for humanity as a whole.
Innovation today is increasingly going beyond the confines of formal R & D to redefine almost every aspect of human life. Today innovation goes beyond creation of new products and services to include unique applications of old technologies to provide locally appropriate, cost-effective solutions for products and services that help improve overall quality of human life and environment.
In India, as we prepare to move from a resource based limited economy to a knowledge driven prosperous and sustainable society, there is an urgent need to promote and nurture the innovative potential of our youth and imbibe an innovation – centric mindset in our people.
The under laying idea is to promote critical thinking and problem-solving ability through hands-on activities and experiments. We are stepping in a different way that students will learn practical at first and correlates to theory of their textbook.
Students will be required to document their daily works and at the completion of each work or project session, present the work before their peers and mentors. Good works/project will be displayed at the various Science Centers or Science Fairs/Congress.
Facilities of the Science Hub will be available on yearly membership basis (for a minimum period of six months from March to August or from September to February and will be renewed as per recommendation by the Mentors of the Hub) to school and college students. Details fees structure is furnished below:
Total Fees for Tg-56 = (300 x 6) = 1800/- + 200/- (Registration fees one time)
Total Fees for Tg-78 & Tg-910 = (400 x 6) = 2400/- + 200/- (Registration fees one time)
Total Fees for Tg-112 = (600 x 6) = 3600/- + 200/- (Registration fees one time)
Pattern-I: Schools and colleges can also become institutional members by paying annual membership fee Rs. 25000 and Rs. 40000. However, batch size per session at the Science Hub will be restricted to 15 heads for school and college respectively.
Pattern-II:Tg-56 Club: For Class IV, V & VI only
Tg-78 Club: For Class VII & VIII only
Tg-910- Club: For Class IX to X only
Tg-112- Club: For Class XI to XII only
Saturday and Sunday including national holidays (As per Science Hub Calender). Workshops will be arranged during vacation (Summer/Winter/Puja). Audio-Visual facilities are also available.
